In accordance with the national policy of education (1986). Government of india started jawahar novodaya vidyalaya samiti all over india expect the state of tamilnadu . these are co-education , residential schools, fully financed by government of india and run by on autonomous organization to navodaya vidyalaya samiti under the ministry of education. Though admission to navodaya vidyalaya is at class 6th level. In order to optimally utilize infrastructure facilities available. Vacant seat at class 9th level are filled through all india level admission test 2022-23. While education in the schools is free including board and lodging, textbooks, uniform, a sum of Rs.600/- per month is collected from the students of class 9th to 12th only towards vidyalaya vikas nidhi. Students belonging to ST/SC category, girls students and the students whose family income is below poverty line (BPL) are exempted Rs.1500/- per students per month or actual children education allowance received by the perent per month whichever is less is collected from all students whose parents are government employees. The last date to apply for the admission test is 31th October 2021.
